It's a position Mr. Miller, who joined the company at its beginning in 2001 and served in various roles including president and chief operating officer before becoming the company's CEO on New Year's Day, sees as the foundation for future growth.

Less than a quarter into 2014, Solix has already finalized an agreement with Killeen, Texas to open a new customer care center. The facility, which will perform call center operations and other customer-support functions, is scheduled to open in the spring and will be the latest addition to a network of facilities Solix manages across several states. The company is also seeking to generate long-term growth through a new strategic plan that is expected to result in announcements this year about additional service lines and markets.
Another important aspect of Solix's corporate culture Mr. Miller wants to build is the company's focus on advanced training for its employees.
