AUSTIN, Texas, March 5, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- iPadpalooza, a leading-edge learning festival celebrating the cultural shift that iPads have brought about in education and bulb, a software startup with a vision to dramatically improve the way knowledge is shared, have partnered to host an open house for educators and all those passionate about education at PGi Studios in downtown Austin on March 10 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The event will serve as an opportunity for attendees to meet the people and experience the technology behind two of the most innovative movements in education technology.
"We are so excited to partner with iPadpalooza to co-host this event. Carl and his team are changing the way that students engage with technology in the classroom," said bulb President John Runkles.
The event will include an introduction to iPadpalooza by founder and Eanes ISD technology coordinator Carl Hooker, who partnered with bulb this year for a district-wide pilot. A bulb demo will follow, showcasing how the web app is being used for publishing student portfolios and sharing long-form content on the web, and a behind-the-scenes look at the new features to be released later this year.
"iPadpalooza celebrates the concept that learning with mobile devices is engaging, creative, collaborative and fun," said Hooker. "We're excited to partner with a company like bulb that has those same ideals and really celebrates this learning experience for our kids via their platform. The possibilities for our students in the future are endless, and finding high-quality platforms like bulb and high-quality events like iPadpalooza, bring those possibilities into actionable focus for student learning."
Appetizers and beverages will be provided. For more information or to RSVP, go to https://www.eventbrite.com/e/sxsw-ipadpalooza-and-bulb-reception-tickets-15843303748
