Bulldog LED Lighting teenage entrepreneur Dylan Sievers wants to help educate consumers on the importance of manufacturing in the United States.
PLANO, Texas, Sept. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Dylan Sievers, 19 years old and the founder and CEO of an off road LED light company, is an apprehensive political activist who is striving to influence change in his industry. After lessons he learned from the California political system, he has decided to push forward on a national level; he wants to help educate consumers nationwide on the effects of offshoring manufacturing and the effects on our country. Sievers is a business student at Saint Mary's College of Moraga, CA.

Sievers' team will be releasing a series of 15 net toons that express the concerns of US Manufacturing from his company's point of view. He plans on releasing two net toons each week until he reaches his industry's international show, SEMA. The San Carlos, CA native is committed to leading a resurgence in products that carry the "Made in the USA" label. The focus of his mission is the push for legislation requiring companies to have to be certified to use the "Made in USA" label. "How does anyone really know that US parts are being used? Why should companies capitalize on falsifying this information because Americans want to support their country?" Sievers states.
"According to an April 2013 Gallup poll only about 20% of consumers in my age group cared whether or not a product was Made in the USA," said the young Sievers. "I thought that something simple to show what manufacturing means to our economy and country would be helpful for two reasons; for youth jobs and for our country's independence on foreign factories. If you are not the college type, the manufacturing industry is a great option." Sievers perfected the idea for Bulldog Lighting (www.bulldogledlighting.com) in a business class at his alma mater, Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo.
SEMA is the Specialty Equipment Market Association. Bulldog LED Lighting will be at the SEMA Show Las Vegas, in November 2013 to showcase several new products and to share their journey in bringing back production to the United States. "SEMA has helped me learn more about my own industry and has given me some incredible opportunities," added Sievers. Sievers is one of the youngest members of YEN, Young Entrepreneurs Network, of SEMA, and was recently recognized as the top 30 under 30 years old.
