Business Intelligence Firm Proxy Signs Reseller Agreement to Include Stoke's LTE Security Gateways in Its Network Monitoring and Management Solutions Portfolio
SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Business intelligence company Proxy has signed a reseller agreement to provide Stoke's market leading mobile broadband security gateways to help its public and private sector customers protect their communications networks. The agreement formalizes a number of existing engagements between the two companies, and reflects the increasing emphasis placed by telecoms industry systems integrators on securing LTE mobile broadband networks.
Stoke's high-performance technology will be integrated as a key element to secure Proxy's solutions for service providers working with the world's largest, multi-vendor networks in the government, enterprise and telecoms sectors. With offices in the U.S., Italy and India, Proxy offers a suite of powerful business intelligence software solutions to help organizations make decisions to optimize their network and application performance.
Proxy will leverage Stoke's capabilities in high performance IPsec encryption to secure and optimize radio access network traffic before it reaches the network core.
"LTE transmissions have a massive security vulnerability in that backhaul traffic from the eNodeB to the IP core is unencrypted," said Michele Libraro, CEO of Proxy. "Our customers are seeking technology that will secure voice and data traffic between untrusted backhaul until it reaches its trusted destination. Stoke's technology is proven in major live deployments to provide scalable, latency-free performance and interoperates seamlessly in multi-vendor environments. It is an ideal choice for us."
"The global systems integrator community increasingly sees security as a critical element of mobile broadband network design," said Mark Verdun, Vice President of Business Alliances at Stoke. "We are very please to formalize our arrangement with Proxy to meet that need with an integrated solution that can easily be incorporated as part of any advanced network."
Key factors driving the adoption of IPsec security include increased hacker attention to mobile networks, the increasing use of third party backhaul, and the introduction of more easily-compromised small cells in the radio access network (RAN). The Stoke security gateway is a RAN agnostic security solution interoperable with all major RAN technologies, that aggregates, encrypts and optimizes traffic, before it enters the network core. Stoke's technology has been proven in multiple international deployments and tests.
