CA 3Tera AppLogic Chosen by ScaleMatrix as Primary Cloud Computing Platform in $3 Million Deal

ISLANDIA, N.Y., Jan. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CA Technologies (Nasdaq: CA) today announced that ScaleMatrix, a new managed service provider (MSP) run by data center industry veterans, has chosen CA® 3Tera® AppLogic® software as the primary platform for delivering its catalog of cloud computing services.  

To launch and build the business, ScaleMatrix needed a single platform to provide multiple cloud offerings, including application hosting, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Virtual Private Data Centers (VPDCs).  The company selected the CA 3Tera AppLogic cloud platform in a three-year contract valued at $3.06 million.  ScaleMatrix will also use CA 3Tera AppLogic to provide scalability and high availability for business services running in the company's cloud environments.

ScaleMatrix can satisfy small start-ups to Fortune 500 enterprises by leveraging the CA 3Tera AppLogic solution's scalability and flexibility. The platform's built-in high availability and disaster recovery capabilities allow ScaleMatrix to offer enterprise-level quality of service. ScaleMatrix also expects the CA 3Tera AppLogic cloud platform will make it easier to operate and manage services among multiple geographically-dispersed data centers, with its easy-to-use, drag-and-drop interface.
