Cadence Pharmaceuticals Announces Proposed Public Offering of Common Stock

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Cadence Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: CADX) today announced that it is offering to sell $85 million worth of shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering.  Cadence expects to grant the underwriters of the offering an option to purchase additional shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any.  Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. is acting as sole book-running manager for the offering.  Leerink Swann LLC is acting as co-lead manager, and JMP Securities, Wedbush PacGrow Life Sciences and Canaccord Genuity Inc. are acting as co-managers for the offering.  The offering is subject to market conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering.
