CAIR Concludes 10th Annual National Council Meeting
Retiring CAIR board member Dr. Ihsan Bagby honored
WASHINGTON, March 18, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation's largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, has concluded its 10th annual National Council meeting, attended by representatives of CAIR chapters nationwide.
At the three-day meeting, which began on Friday, CAIR chapter representatives talked about ways in which to better serve the community and society, discussed pending and future legislative issues and outlined the Muslim community's political and civil liberties priorities for 2013.

Zaki also praised the important civil liberties work carried out by CAIR chapters throughout the country.
During the National Council meeting, CAIR honored retiring national board member Dr. Ihsan Bagby . He has been on CAIR's national board since 1995.

CAIR chapter representatives are currently on Capitol Hill meeting with elected officials on a variety of important issues.
CAIR is America's largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
