California ISO Goes Live With UISOL's DRBizNet Demand Response Management System

LAFAYETTE, Calif., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Utility Integration Solutions, Inc. (UISOL), the utility industry business integration specialist and the leading provider of demand response management systems (DRMS), today announced the successful commissioning of its DRBizNet™ DRMS software application to power the California Independent System Operator Corporation's (ISO) new Proxy Demand Resources (PDR) demand response program.

DRBizNet is the foundational architecture of the PDR system, creating a flexible model for participating loads that allows demand response providers to both schedule demand and bid load curtailments as an integrated bid.  DR providers can use co-optimization of energy and ancillary services in both the day-ahead and real-time markets to determine the best utilization of demand response resources.

The new solution manages all aspects of DR program management – qualifying resources, enrolling in programs, coordinating workflows, managing events, managing notifications, collecting measurement data, verifying performance, calculating baselines, and creating economic settlements.  The system is fully integrated with the California ISO market and dispatch systems, and includes both browser and web-service access to participants.  Participating organizations will be using DRBizNet to enable demand response in energy, capacity, or ancillary services markets, representing approximately 30 million end-use customers.
