Californians Use LA-Based Crowdfunding Site to Help Families of Sandy Hook Victims

Venice, Calif., Dec. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- A Los Angeles-based charity has launched a crowdfunding campaign to support the families of the victims of the tragedy last week at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The campaign can be found at http://www.whenyouwish.com/sandy-hook-fund.

When You Wish has been used successfully to raise significant funds for other causes including a recent raise of over $100,000 for the New Village Leadership Academy, a Southern California non-profit school supported by Will Smith and Jada Pickett Smith .

The site has agreed to waive its usual 5% fee for any funds raised for the families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy.
