SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CamberView Partners, LLC, the leading source of independent, investor-led advice for public companies on investor engagement, is pleased to announce the official launch of its European business with the hiring of Jean-Nicolas Caprasse, Head of ISS Europe, as Managing Partner for Europe, and Lindsay Tomlinson, former Vice Chairman of BlackRock and Barclays Global Investors UK, as the Chair of its European Advisory Board. Together, Jean-Nicolas and Lindsay bring a deep understanding of the investor landscape in Europe, providing a strong foundation for CamberView's growing team in London and a deep capacity to bring investor-led advice on governance, investor engagement and shareholder activism to public companies across Europe. Lindsay will officially take up his appointment in December of 2016 when he completes his service on the board of Legal & General Investment Management and on the board of The Investor Forum in the UK. Jean-Nicolas and Lindsay are joined by others at CamberView with deep experience with European investors and governance including Julia Wittenburg, an expert in governance in France, Germany and Switzerland and a former member of the corporate governance and voting team at BlackRock in the UK, and the former global heads of governance from BlackRock, State Street, and the former Global Chief Investment Officer of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, among others.

Jean-Nicolas joined ISS through its 2005 acquisition of Deminor Rating, of which he had been co-founder and the Managing Partner since 2000, and a Partner of Deminor International since 1993. Prior to joining Deminor, he spent five years with JP Morgan in Capital Markets in Brussels and New York.

Lindsay Tomlinson serves as a board member of Legal & General Investment Management, and The Investor Forum, and previously served as Vice Chairman of BlackRock Advisors (UK) Limited (formerly, Barclays Global Investors Limited). He also served as the Chief Executive at BZW Asset Management. He has contributed to the development of the financial services industry through membership in a range of relevant industry bodies such as the Takeover Panel (UK), the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) and the Financial Reporting Council. Lindsay was awarded the OBE for services to the fund management industry.
