CampusVue Student 12.1 Delivers Industry-First Innovations and Lays Foundation for Revolutionary New Portal
BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Campus Management Corp., a leading provider of enterprise software products and services for educational institutions today announced the release of CampusVue® Student 12.1, a major milestone in the evolution of student information systems for higher education.
The largest of any previous release by Campus Management, CampusVue Student 12.1 includes over 65 new features, the result of more than a year's worth of research and development.
Release 12.1 sets the stage for the simultaneous arrival of the company's new CampusVue Portal, built with Microsoft's SharePoint 2010 platform. The new portal extends the original portal's integration to the company's student system, while introducing greater flexibility, rich branding options and extensibility with other SharePoint portals in use across the institution's private and public portals.
Campus Management also debuts in 12.1 an entirely new application, CampusVue Forms Builder. CampusVue Forms Builder enables business users to drag and drop data fields onto a canvas to create highly configurable forms and workflows. The technology dramatically reduces the hundreds of hours consumed by programmers or network administrators to build and maintain the hundreds of custom forms typically demanded by various university departments.
"This release of CampusVue Student delivers industry-first innovations and once more raises the bar," said Brent Ramdin, Vice President of Product Management for Campus Management. "The application, the architecture, and the depth of new features reinforce our core principles focused on flexibility, scalability and user centric design."
Among the many new features in the 12.1 release are the new automation tools for financial aid processing, including STAR COD processing, and COD import and export for semester-based programs. Significant improvements for the admissions office include a customizable tool to import test scores or any flat file received from professional testing agencies. An enhanced FERPA feature set allows students to self-select and administer their FERPA permissions through the portal.
For institutions using both Talisma® CRM and CampusVue Student, the new release enables data to move more seamlessly between the enrollment management and student information systems. This integration between CampusVue Student and Talisma CRM allows institutions to implement a robust "early warning system" to heighten retention, enrich career services and automate student services. With Talisma CRM, institutions can send alerts, notices and reminders through students' preferred communications channels and mobile devices.
