LAS VEGAS, Oct. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On October 27, 2014 Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. ("GLPI") filed a lawsuit in New York, seeking to cancel its agreement to purchase The Meadows Racetrack & Casino. Cannery Casino Resorts, LLC believes that the lawsuit is without merit and intends to defend against it vigorously. Cannery Casino Resorts intends to take all available measures to ensure that the transaction closes by the contractually agreed deadline of November 13, 2015, and that GLPI complies with its contractual obligations to use best efforts to receive applicable gaming approvals.
