LAS VEGAS, April 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cantor Gaming® and Palms Casino Resort announced today that they have signed a long-term agreement for Cantor Gaming to launch and operate a poker area within its Cantor Race & Sports Book, currently under construction at Palms, which is scheduled to open in early May.
The poker area will be located within the newly refurbished Cantor Race & Sports Book at Palms. There will be eight poker tables in total, offering live poker and live dealers.
Joseph A. Magliarditi, President of Palms, said: "We are excited to further our relationship with Cantor Gaming, reputed for its creative and innovative approach to sports wagering and mobile casino games. Our decision to relocate the poker room to the new race and sports book was a natural one given the synergies that exist between poker players and sports bettors. We are confident that a sleek new poker room will be a spectacular addition to our resort and one that offers poker fans the ultimate in poker playing experiences."
Lee M. Amaitis, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cantor Gaming, said: "We are honored that Palms has chosen us to manage their poker area. There is a natural overlap between sports bettors and poker players and by situating poker within the sports book we can offer customers maximum entertainment and convenience."
While construction of the poker room and new race and sports book remains under way, Cantor Gaming is operating an ancillary sports-only book near the Mint High Limit Lounge located on Palms' main floor.
