HYANNIS, Mass., Jan. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Cape Air's roster of cities served grew in December to include new routes in Maine, Missouri and the British West Indies. Flights between San Juan, PR and Anguilla, BWI began on December 22, just in time for the holiday exodus to this exclusive destination. The addition of Anguilla complements Cape Air's existing Caribbean service for San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Croix, Tortola, Vieques, Mayaguez and Ponce. Augusta, ME to Boston began on December 1, while flights between Ft. Leonard Wood, MO and St. Louis, MO began on December 14. Augusta and Ft. Leonard Wood augment Cape Air's current list of markets served under the US Department of Transportation's Essential Air Service program, created to ensure smaller communities remain connected to the national air transportation system.
These three additions brings the total number of cities served by Cape Air to 39, a number comprised of the following: Hyannis, Provincetown, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, New Bedford, and Boston, Massachusetts, Providence, RI (seasonal), Rutland, VT, Lebanon, NH, Augusta, ME, Rockland, ME, Watertown, NY, Ogdensburg, NY, Massena, NY, Albany, NY, Saranac Lake, NY, White Plains, NY, Baltimore, MD, Hagerstown, MD, Lancaster, PA, Kirksville, MO, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, Cape Girardeau, MO, St. Louis, MO, Quincy, IL, Marion, IL, Ft. Myers, FL, Key West, FL, San Juan, Mayaguez, Ponce and Vieques, PR, Tortola, BVI, St. Thomas, USVI, St. Croix, USVI, Anguilla, BWI, Guam, Rota and Saipan.
Travel to and from Cape Air's new destination, Anguilla is made easier with a convenient codeshare partnership with Continental Airlines in the Caribbean. Ft. Leonard Wood is operated with the American Airlines codeshare.
