(CFI) announced today that Alexander Mats, CPA, CFE, who currently heads the firm's team of forensic accountants, has been promoted to Managing Director. Additionally, over the past six months, CFI has added two highly respected professionals: Eric H. Siber as a Managing Director, and Jerry Wade, who will both join the firm's roster of expert witnesses with significant experience in financial services.
As Managing Director of Forensic Accounting Services at CFI, Alex Mats supervises a team of accountants who apply their technical and investigative skills to determine actual financial circumstances and events, to support litigation, arbitration and settlements related to a broad range of criminal and civil matters.
Mr. Mats joined CFI in 2013, and has most recently served as a Senior Litigation Analyst. Previously, he had served at LaSalle Investment Management, Inc. as the finance manager of the firm's corporate accounting group; and had been associated with Crowe Horwath as a risk management professional. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner, and holds B.S. degrees in both Finance and Accountancy from the University of Illinois, and an M.S. degree in Accounting Forensics from Roosevelt University.
