Capital Insurance Group® Welcomes Brian Janitschke as Chief Actuary
MONTEREY, Calif., June 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Brian Janitschke joins Capital Insurance Group® (CIG®), the leading regional property and casualty insurer serving the Western United States, as Chief Actuary.
His responsibilities will include directing the actuarial functions through analysis, evaluation and program development to address all areas of financial risk. As a member of the executive team, he also will be accountable for carrying out the company's business strategy, operational goals and financial objectives.

Janitschke has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry in Property, Casualty and Professional Liability. He began his insurance career with the St. Paul Companies, working in various locations with increasing responsibilities, and eventually became Regional Actuary in the Commercial Insurance Division. He later formed and co-founded Curry MacWilliam Janitschke, which managed $40 million in Habitational Real Estate Programs in the New York City Metropolitan area. Other positions include Vice President and Actuary at Collins in Minneapolis, Minn.; Vice President & Chief Pricing Actuary and Professional Liability Product leader at Fireman's Fund Insurance Company in Chicago, IL; and most recently Sr. Vice President and Programs Product/Territorial Leader within the QBE Programs Division in New York, NY.
Janitschke is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
