Car Lister Launches E-Commerce Platform to Connect Automotive Dealers with Nationwide Network of Individual Sellers
"Bring Your Best Offer" program provides users and dealers the ability to buy, sell, inspect, and ship vehicles from a mobile device; Announces 'Epic Giveaway' with $500,000 worth of cars, service repairs, tires, oil changes.
NAPLES, Fla., Jan. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Car Lister, the web application that lets sellers list and buyers shop for new and pre-owned cars from any smartphone, tablet or desktop, today announced the launch of a fully transactional e-commerce platform to connect automotive dealers and individual sellers across the country. The Bring Your Best Offer (BYBO) program allows dealers to easily obtain new inventory by hand-selecting vehicles, making offers, viewing inspection reports, and scheduling shipping all from one platform. Individual sellers are given, for the first time, a direct pipeline to a dealer network looking to boost inventory.
"The BYBO program is the first of its kind for private sellers, and is the next step in bringing car selling into the 21st century," said Bryan Harmon, Founder and CEO of DreamWare, the parent company of Car Lister. "Our primary goal with Car Lister has always been to offer new, stress-free solutions that help improve the car buying experience. Our social platform was the first step in opening the doors for dealers and consumers to easily connect with one another across vast geographic plains, and our BYBO solution takes the process one step further."
Using the Car Lister app, private sellers instantly list their vehicle for sale in the BYBO program simply by providing the vehicle VIN number and selecting to receive qualified offers from dealerships. The application generates the listing title and vehicle description, allows for the upload of images and video, and includes a full vehicle history report at no cost. Once listed, pre-qualified automotive dealers across the country have seven days to place a silent offer on the vehicle, the highest of which can then be accepted by the seller at his or her discretion.
If the seller accepts an offer, a qualified mechanic from Car Lister's partner YourMechanic, will come to the seller's location and inspect the vehicle to verify its condition. Once the vehicle passes inspection, uShip, the global transport marketplace that's reinventing logistics by moving it entirely online and to mobile devices, will contact the seller to arrange pickup and transportation of the vehicle anywhere in the country. When the dealer confirms delivery of the vehicle, the transaction funds are released directly to the seller's bank account.
The launch coincides with dealerships across the US facing an inventory shortage. According to TIME, dealers have only 48 days worth of cars to sell, roughly 52,596 vehicles, which is 20 days fewer than their inventory in November 2014.
"Low supply is a problem that many dealerships are having trouble remedying," said "Dealin" Doug Moreland, Owner of 12 Colorado automotive dealerships. "Going to local auctions provides dealers with limited options, so having a program like BYBO lets us pick and choose vehicles from across the country easier and faster than we've been able to do in the past."
Epic Car Giveaway
Car Lister is also celebrating its expansion with the launch of its Epic Giveaway campaign, giving away nearly $500,000 in car and repair vouchers, tires, oil changes and more.
