Powerheart AEDs included in Airbus offerable vendor catalog

BOTHELL, Wash., Feb. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cardiac Science Corporation, a global leader in automated external defibrillator (AED) and diagnostic cardiac monitoring devices, announced that it will partner with Germany-based Innovint Aircraft Interior GmbH to distribute Cardiac Science AEDs on aircraft worldwide. Innovint is a leader in the global aircraft interior and equipment market and an approved Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) supplier for Airbus.

Leveraging its presence in the Airbus catalog, Cardiac Science now has an opportunity to outfit each new plane with a Powerheart AED.  

The Powerheart AED features RescueCoach voice prompts and CPR metronome that help untrained adults deliver CPR of a quality similar to that of trained professionals (as shown in a University of Pennsylvania simulated rescue study). The fully automatic Powerheart AED analyzes the heart rhythm and delivers the shock automatically, with no button to push and no human intervention.
