FC TUCSON SOCCER will feature the FC Tucson Street Soccer Showdown.  This is soccer in its purest form: absent of age restrictions, uniform restrictions or even skill restrictions.  It's just 10 players in a 5v5 matchup playing soccer because they love it; on the street, spontaneously.  The result takes a backseat to the process and the buildup and the fun everyone has just kicking the ball around cleverly, trying to avoid each other.  Don't let another 2nd Saturday go by without hitting the street with just the clothes you're wearing, your friends and a desire to play soccer. It's free to play. For more information email liam@fctucson.com

Science Downtown: CenturyLink presents: Mars and Beyond - 300 E. Congress St.

This exhibition is dedicated to offering rotating science-based programs to Tucson and all of Arizona. 2nd Saturday hours are 9am-9pm. Check discounts, other dates and hours at sciencedowntown.org

The Cricket Kids' Area is super fun for the family.  On hand is the Cricket Jumping Castle, a FREE G-rated movie-"Charlie & The Chocolate Factory" and other things to entertain.  The movie begins at approximately 6:15p.m.  The street scene will be hopping with car clubs, musicians, "jukebox" statues and vendors.  Many Downtown businesses offer specials.

"i am TUCSON" will launch on April 14th with members of Greater Tucson Leadership speaking with attendees at the festivities and passing out "i am TUCSON" t-shirts and other giveaways.  There will be photographers and videographers on site to capture Tucsonans of all ages supporting the movement and sharing their stories.  These will later be posted and shared on www.iamtucson.org.  In addition, there will be a tent, co-supported by Ben's Bells, where attendees can write their name on tiles that will be used in the creation of the "i am TUCSON" mosaic mural.  The mural is to be permanently displayed Downtown.  With the support and partnership of the Downtown community the hope is to have an overall presence throughout the festivities.

2nd Saturdays Downtown runs from 4pm to 10pm.  Sponsors are:  Jim Click Automotive Team, Cricket, Carondelet Health Network, KOLD Channel 13, KHYT/KIIM Radio, KXCI 91.3FM Community Radio, MEB Property Management and Providence Service Corp.
