Carlos Amezcua Spoke to the Touro University Worldwide Graduating Class of 2012
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., June 5, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- FOX News Anchor and journalist, Carlos Amezcua delivered The Keynote speech to Touro University Worldwide graduate students on June 3rd at the Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village, California.
"I am honored to have been chosen to deliver the first Keynote speech to the inaugural graduating class. My father always instilled the importance of an education and the importance of 'preparation meeting opportunity.' This graduation is a clear example of what my Father taught me. The preparation and hard work of all of the graduates is now paying dividends," said Amezcua.
"We are honored that Carlos Amezcua was at the center of this graduation event. TUW prides itself on the faculty being scholar practitioners and Carlos Amezcua is truly a symbol of a successful scholar practitioner in media and communications," added Dr. Bernard Luskin, CEO and Senior Provost of Touro University Worldwide.
"Of the 30 graduates, 28 of them received an MA degree in Media and Communications Psychology. Having Carlos Amezcua talk about his experience from college to on the job training was valuable to hear and resonated with the graduates since many of them are working professionals applying their knowledge to their careers," added Dr. Toni Thomas Luskin, Chair of the Media and Communications Psychology program.
"I felt honored to be wearing the Doctoral robe while delivering the keynote. My life experience as a journalist and immersing myself in digital media and communications has given me a priceless education for which I am grateful. Being among the graduates gave me pride and reminded me that members of this graduating class represent where education is headed and are examples of the opportunities online learning offers busy professionals," Amezcua explained.
