Casio G-SHOCK Launches #Neverblendin
Creates Interactive Cultural Journey to Launch Camouflage Timepiece Series
DOVER, N.J., May 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On May 30, 2014, Casio America, Inc. celebrates the official launch of their new camouflage timepiece series with the #Neverblendin campaign, an online scavenger hunt. The campaign will lead consumers on a digital journey through cultural hotspots in Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas and New York through July 2014.
Consumers access the scavenger hunt, at www.gshock.com/neverblendin from their computers or tablets, pairing their smartphones with the scavenger hunt application.
The G-SHOCK application uses Google Maps and Google Street View which guides players towards G-SHOCK logos digitally camouflaged into existing street art within each city.
Each hidden G-SHOCK logo unlocks a single piece of a larger custom art puzzle. Users will follow the map on their phones until they gather all hidden pieces. Once all of the art pieces have been collected, players must organize them to create the fully realized artwork.
National users are invited to participate and win prizes regardless of location-simply by logging-in and completing the puzzle online.
The first 25 players in each city to complete the entire art puzzle can win a G-SHOCK prize. Finish any of the online scavenger hunts and you can enter the drawing to win a trip for two to the 2014 US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, California.
The featured artwork has been custom created for the G-SHOCK #Neverblendin scavenger hunt by J$ (LA), Jona Cerwinske (Miami) and Hello Maseman (Dallas). All artwork will also be exclusively featured in the limited release of the G-SHOCK Profiles Vol.2 zine, available at Union, Unknwn, Centre and G-SHOCK SoHo retail stores.

About G-SHOCK
CASIO's shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch is synonymous with toughness, born from the developer Mr. Ibe's dream of 'creating a watch that never breaks'. Over 200 handmade samples were created and tested to destruction until finally in 1983 the first, now iconic G-SHOCK hit the streets of Japan and began to establish itself as 'the toughest watch of all time'. Each watch encompasses the 7 elements; electric shock resistance, gravity resistance, low temperature resistance, vibration resistance, water resistance, shock resistance and toughness. The watch is packed with Casio innovations and technologies to prevent it from suffering direct shock; this includes internal components protected with urethane and suspended timekeeping modules inside the watch structure. Since its launch, G-SHOCK has continued to evolve, continuing to support on Mr. Ibe's mantra "never, never give up".
