Castrol® Names Winner Of "Road to Brazil" Correspondent Contest Winner Tom Cavalli To Attend U.S. Men's National Soccer Team's FIFA World Cup™ Qualifying Games

WAYNE, N.J., Aug. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Castrol® today announced the winner of the national Castrol "Road to Brazil" Correspondent Contest, Cleveland, OH native Tom Cavalli. Multitudes of soccer fans submitted original videos via YouTube or Vimeo, showing their enthusiasm for the team and explaining why they would be the best Castrol Correspondent. From a group of four finalists based on Facebook votes, Cavalli was chosen to be the official Correspondent and will travel to select U.S. Men's National Team games in 2013. 

Castrol is an official sponsor of the U.S. Men's National Team (USMNT). The contest expands upon Castrol's commitment to soccer and innovative fan engagement following the introduction of the Castrol® USSF, launched early this year. The Castrol Index is featured on ussoccer.com after each of the completed FIFA World Cup™ qualifying matches and friendlies in 2013. Friendly matches receive their own Castrol Index performance ranking, while FIFA World Cup™ qualifying matches will receive a cumulative ranking. 

As the official Castrol Correspondent, Cavalli will attend and report back to fellow fans his first-hand experiences at the USA vs. Mexico and USA vs. Jamaica qualifiers for the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ on September 10, 2013, and October 11, 2013, respectively. To sweeten the prize, if the U.S. team qualifies for the 2014 FIFA World Cup™, Cavalli will join the team in Brazil to report on the first round of the competition.
