Catapultian Launches the Easiest Way to Manage Your Charitable Giving
The current charitable giving environment is especially difficult to navigate for individuals in their 20s and 30s. Young donors feel pressure to give without knowing their own charitable priorities or how best to make an impact. Our platform has created a single dashboard that allows donors to give to any IRS approved US charity, set aside money for making larger charitable gifts down the road, track metrics around annual giving, and seamlessly set up recurring donations.
NEW YORK, Nov. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Catapultian Foundation, a Brooklyn based nonprofit organization, releases a donation processing platform that allows users to give donations to any registered US charity all within the same dashboard. The current charitable giving environment is especially difficult to navigate for individuals in their 20s and 30s. Young donors feel pressure to give without knowing their own charitable priorities or how best to make an impact. For many young donors today, giving to charity is often an impulse decision without many lasting connections to the overall impact.
The official launch date for the web platform is December 1. Our platform at Catapultian has created a single dashboard that allows donors to give to any IRS approved US charity or to simply set aside money for making larger gifts down the road. Furthermore, the platform also tracks metrics around giving and allows for seamless set up of recurring donations. Our product is designed for the thoughtful giver as we enter the giving season, a month where 30% of all donations are given. But nonprofits need cash flow year round, and we're hoping to give donors a tool to stay engaged throughout the year.
For the first time, Catapultian is opening access to an existing, cost effective charitable vehicle called donor advised funds. Catapultian requires no account minimums for this functionality. After creating an account on Catapultian's site, users can start giving back through automatic monthly donations or one time gifts. With Catapultian, donors are encouraged to pro-actively think about their giving priorities and set aside donations that are immediately tax-exempt.
With the new product launch, Catapultian Founder Josh Kovler said, "This product was designed to help donors navigate an increasingly competitive market for fundraised dollars. Donors are inundated with solicitations, which makes the giving process seem like a choice between who has the best marketing materials. Our goal is to empower donors to look deeper and make a more thoughtful decision."
Catapultian is designed to help users better navigate the donation process by:
- Providing a complete and vetted list of approved US nonprofits
- Facilitating recurring monthly donations to help individuals and organizations budget better
- Allowing individuals to grow their impact while receiving immediate tax benefits
- Sending funds completely online which means never having to find a checkbook
In addition, Catapultian Founder Max Evans explains, "The current online giving environment is fragmented and is primarily focused on creating an impulsive, emotional appeal to donors, which is important. But it does little to appeal to the financial prudence donors generally apply to decision making. Our product bridges that gap and creates a visually appealing and effective tool for the thoughtful donor to apply." This is the first release of functionality on the Catapultian site with the vision of providing auditing information on charities as well as project specific finance down the road. The goal of Catapultian is to increase the amount of donations going to effective charities as well as improve the donors interaction with charities which means going from a onetime transaction to year round support.
