CDI Announces New Long Term Service Agreement with Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC
PHILADELPHIA, June 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CDI Corp. (NYSE: CDI) announced today that its CDI-Aerospace division has entered into a long term service agreement with Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC in support of the Lawrence Livermore National Lab National Ignition Facility (NIF) in Livermore, CA. The service agreement has a term of five years.
With this service agreement, CDI-Aerospace will provide Lawrence Livermore's National Ignition and Photon Science Directorate with engineering services across a wide variety of disciplines. The goal of the National Ignition Facility is to create nuclear fusion and energy gain for the first time in a lab. Achieving this milestone will allow scientists to help ensure the country's safety without nuclear weapon testing, define energy for the future by utilizing fusion power plants and gain a better understanding of the universe.

CDI-Aerospace's Phoenix Design Center will serve as the program center.
