Honorees Adele and Beny Alagem, as two of the city's most dedicated philanthropists, have leant their passion and support to a host of organizations, including Cedars-Sinai.
Beny is Chairman and CEO of Alagem Capital Group and Oasis West Realty, an asset management firm that owns The Beverly Hilton Hotel and The Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. Adele was born and raised in Beverly Hills. They married in 1980.
Academy Award© nominee Stallone first gained the attention of audiences in playing the now iconic title role in his own screenplay, Rocky, which won the Best Picture Academy Award© in 1976. This has been followed by more than four decades of starring roles in feature films, many of which he also wrote and directed, including Rambo, The Expendables and their sequels, Demolition Man, Copland, Get Carter and other motion pictures that have cemented Stallone's stature as an icon in the entertainment industry. An accomplished artist, Stallone is also a dedicated philanthropist and supports several causes close to his heart.
Established in 1971, the Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors is a diverse community of donors and leaders committed to supporting the Medical Center by providing financial resources, educational experiences for its members and volunteer opportunities. In the past decade, the group has committed almost $100 million to fund lifesaving research and patient care at Cedars-Sinai.
