Census Bureau News -- Foreign Trade Regulations Final Rule Published in the Federal Register
WASHINGTON, March 14, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following tip sheet was released today by the U.S. Census Bureau:
Foreign Trade Regulations Final Rule Published in the Federal Register — The U.S. Census Bureau published the final rule revising Title 15, CFR Part 30 - Foreign Trade Regulations, on March 14, 2013. The publication of the final rule amends the regulations published in 2008 that govern the filing of electronic export information with the Census Bureau. The Census Bureau continuously collects and processes this information to provide detailed statistics on goods shipped from the U.S. to foreign countries. The effective date of the regulation is January 8, 2014, which gives the trade community 300 days to implement these new requirements.
