CGI Americas introduces new Wafer Vacuum Lamination system from C Sun

SANTA ANA, Calif., Sept. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- CGI Americas, a leading supplier of advanced manufacturing and test solutions form the electronics industry, today announced the introduction of the WVL-A12 wafer vacuum laminator for applying dry films to wafers with superior accuracy, fill capability and precision.

The system represents a new and highly cost effective method to increase manufacturing yields and reduce costs by reducing contamination through a number of unique technologies.

The WVL-A12D incorporates a unique cutter design and consists of a pre-cutting module, lamination module, leveling module, and de-taping module.

Applications include TSV and RDL processes for three dimensional (3D) IC manufacturing, underfill lamination, molding, CMOS image sensor manufacturing, LED silicon submount packages, and MEMS substrate manufacturing.
