Charity Dynamics Strengthens Consulting Team With Addition of Nonprofit Event Fundraising Expert
AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Charity Dynamics today announced the addition of nonprofit special event fundraising expert Cassidy Richards as a senior member of the company's growing consulting practice.
Richards joins the company from the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America where she served for nearly 5 years, most recently in the position of national event director. With Crohn's & Colitis, Richards led the launch of the Foundation's highly-successful multi-affiliate fundraising walk campaign, Take Steps for Crohn's & Colitis, which has raised more than $32 million since it launched four years ago.
Prior to Crohn's & Colitis, Richards held several leadership positions with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society where she helped drive the organization's event fundraising strategy. Among the responsibilities in her role as national manager, Richards trained new executive directors and campaign staff across 18 chapters to help drive stronger results for local programs through efficient marketing, streamlined operations and improved recruitment of volunteers.
As a senior consultant with Charity Dynamics, Richards will provide strategic direction to clients that are focused on supporting their missions through a broad range of engagement activities, from peer-to-peer fundraising events and campaigns to online advocacy and social media.
"Cassidy has a tremendous amount of experience in the run-walk-ride sphere of fundraising, and knows how to help nonprofits build strong networks that can really power their event fundraising programs," said Dolores McDonagh, vice president of consulting at Charity Dynamics. "Additionally, her work with affiliates and direct understanding of nonprofit operations will enable her to provide valuable insight and guidance to our clients as we help them attain new levels of fundraising success."

The company's Boundless Fundraising suite, which helps nonprofits more effectively fundraise via Facebook®, email and mobile devices, has enabled organizations to raise more than $100 million directly through the event fundraising solution since it launched three years ago.
