Why: Chef One Corp . held its 9th annual dumpling eating contest and raised money to benefit the food bank. All proceeds are being donated to the food bank to feed hungry New Yorkers. Chef One is donating $40,000 to the food bank, which will provide more than 200,000 meals for the needy families that depend on the food bank every day. Right now, the Food Bank is in need of donations more than ever because of the devastation Hurricane Sandy caused. TMI is partnering with the Food Bank to help support its mission.
