Chicago Cubs Select SWAGTRON as Official eBike and Electric Scooter
E-rideables leader goes big league by partnering with the Chicago Cubs to bring a new-school ride to the Windy City
CHICAGO, Nov. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chicago Cubs®, one of the most historic franchises in Major League Baseball, are partnering with SWAGTRON® as the team's official electric bike, scooter, skateboard and hoverboard for the 2019 season. The partnership kicks off just in time for the holiday season.
Beginning this November, fans can expect to see exclusive content from the Chicago Cubs and Swagtron. Chicagoans may even spot Clark the Cub, the team's official mascot, spreading charitable holiday cheer—and a little Swag—around the city.

The Cubs' free bike valet service at Wrigley Field will include an official Swagtron electric bike and scooter charging station in 2019. In addition, a variety of Swagtron products will be available for purchase at the official Cubs Stores located at Gallagher Way (adjacent to Wrigley Field), Michigan Avenue in Chicago and at the Sloan Park Team Shop, the team's spring training facility in Mesa, Arizona.
"Even though electric bikes and scooters are practical, efficient modes of transportation, there's something just plain fun about riding them that I think the kid in all of us really connects with," says Swagtron CMO Jason Wakefield. "I think it's a lot like baseball in that way."
Swagtron products available throughout the season bearing the Official Cubs designation include the Swagger 5 Elite Folding Electric Scooter, the EB5 Folding Electric Bike and the Swagcycle PRO Compact Electric Bike.
Swagtron will roll out Cubs content, promotions and events throughout 2019 that will be unlike anything in the e-rideables industry.
