Grand Avenue, Chicago), Chicago Toy & Game Group is hosting the 13th annual Chicago Toy & Game Fair (ChiTAG), featuring more than 150 toy and game exhibitors including Hasbro, Spin Master, Mayfair Games, Uncle Milton, Razor, Goliath and many more. Known as the Oscars of the toy industry, the Toy & Game Innovation (TAGI) Awards Gala takes place Friday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. in the historic Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier. Guests will enjoy an elegant evening of entertainment that includes a cocktail hour, a seated dinner and the awards program. The TAGI Awards celebrate the achievements of toy & game inventors, designers and industry leaders through awards presented in nine categories. The grand finale of Chicago Toy & Game Week is the Chicago Toy & Game Fair (ChiTAG). In addition to exploring the booths of more than 150 toy and game exhibitors, kids will also get the chance to see a life-size Tonka Truck and Giant Jenga, meet Chase and Marshall from PAW Patrol, see the PAW Patroller, experience an electronic petting zoo and much more! ChiTAG is hosting the first-ever Live Audience Unboxing Event Saturday, Nov. 21 at 3 p.m. on the Main Stage of the fair, featuring the hugely popular YouTube channel, Mommy & Gracie Show. The Mommy & Gracie Show will be the first unboxing channel ever to review toys in front of a live audience. This event is available to ChiTAG Fair attendees as part of general Saturday admission to the fair; no separate ticket is required.
At the ChiTAG Young Inventor Challenge on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Navy Pier Festival Hall "A", kids between the ages 6 and 18 years will showcase their original toy and game inventions, "science fair style" to a panel of play industry experts for the chance to win more than $700 worth of amazing toy prizes courtesy of Spin Master.
The Star Wars Luncheon takes place Saturday, Nov. 21 from noon to 1 pm in the Lakeview Terrace Room at Navy Pier. Tickets are $36 for adults and $30 for children, and include photo opportunities with characters from the Star Wars 501st Legion: Vader's Fist, Saturday admission to the ChiTAG Fair, special prizes and giveaways, and a buffet lunch with Star Wars-inspired dishes.
