Chism Strategies Wins Ten Pollie Awards

JACKSON, Miss., April 14, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Chism Strategies, a Democratic campaign consulting firm with offices in Washington, DC, Jackson, MS, and Atlanta, GA took home 10 awards at the annual Pollie Conference hosted by the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) last week in San Diego.   Founded by nationally-recognized political consultant Brad Chism, the firm's Mississippi work won two golds for live calls on behalf of Percy Bland in the Meridian mayor's race and radio ads in the Jackson mayor's race. All total, Chism Strategies was honored with one bronze, three silver, and six gold Pollies.

The AAPC is the world's largest organization of political and public policy professionals and the Pollie Awards are the organization's signature annual event.   The political consulting world's Academy Awards, Pollies are the highest honor in the business of political consulting and public affairs.   More than 1,600 entries were submitted for peer review, the largest slate of entries in the history of the AAPC.

• Gold for a robo patch/grassroots program on behalf of solar energy legislation in Louisiana
• Silver for a telephone town hall for a public utility company in N. Little Rock, Arkansas
• Silver for a robo patch through program on behalf of the WI League of Conservation Voters
• Silver for early vote calls in support of Proposition P in St. Louis, Missouri
• Bronze for a telephone town hall in Arkansas regarding Medicaid expansion
