FORT COLLINS, Colo., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Choose People, LLC is launching a nationwide certification that recognizes companies where employees feel good about coming to work.  

Choose People provides companies a way to leverage their happy-employee reputation with socially conscientious consumers and future employees in the competitive marketplace. Choose People is the common thread that ties good consumers, great companies and happy employees together, which ultimately strengthens the larger social fabric and promotes economic sustainability.

The Choose People certification and red seal of approval immediately identifies a company as one that cares about its people. The seal will differentiate companies in the marketplace, increase positive brand awareness, build consumer loyalty and foster employee recruitment and retention.

Choose People Founder Kris Boesch understands the power of happy employees from first-hand experience. As the former CEO of a national moving company, Boesch witnessed exceptional company success as a direct result of efforts to improve and sustain employee morale. Anecdotally, she also learned that her employees' on-the-job happiness spilled over at home and into the community.

The Choose People nomination process is open year round to qualifying organizations with ten or more employees. The first Choose People Certified Companies will be announced in July 2010. Choose People partnered with Colorado State University, logging over 1,000 research hours, to construct and validate its Employee Organizational Perceptions (EOP) survey, which measures if employees feel good about coming to work.

The CSU graduate research team, led by Associate Professor of Psychology Dr. Zinta Byrne, conducted more than 1,000 pilot tests across 18 organizations of various sizes and industries to produce the statistically robust certification measurement tool for Choose People, which is empirically validated and based on an eight-dimension psychometrics scale.
