SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Christine J. Hunter is recognized by Continental Who's Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Manufacturing. Christine is the Vice President, Talent with Big Heart Pet Brands, formerly Del Monte Foods.
Big Heart Pet Brands was created with one thing in mind- to nurture the bond between pets and the people who love them, making every day special. They are committed to the well-being of pets and their owners, and they create pet food and snacks that will help provide long and fulfilling lives for pets and the people who love and care for them.
Christine has over fifteen years of successful experience in organizational development strategy and integrated talent management. In her current capacity, Christine is responsible for the oversight of talent management, acquisition, engagement, as well as workforce planning, performance management, and leadership development. At one point, she volunteered with the Peace Corps, where she collaborated with local leaders and global organizations to help design and implement projects in the areas of health, education, and the environment to improve the quality of life for those living in the rural villages of Mali, West Africa.
During her time there, she procured funding for and refurbished two schools for approximately 600 students. For those students, Christine helped integrate American teaching models into French educational systems and also created teaching aids for classroom application in order to enhance teaching styles and improve the quality of education. She says her experience working with the Peace Corps has helped shape both her life and career.
Additionally, Christine has expertise in learning development, employee training and engagement, and she was the President of the Bay Area Organization Development Network, now the Secretary for the Board. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Women and the Network of Executive Women. In her spare time, Christine enjoys spending time with her husband and girls, rollerblading on the Embarcadero, and water skiing.
She is currently completing her dissertation as the final step to receiving a Doctorate degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the Professional School of Psychology, and holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco, along with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education (K-12) from Humboldt State University.
