PARKLAND, Fla., Sept. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Emil Lee, president of the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA), has appointed Warren Binder, president of Creative Travel Consultants in Florida, to the association's executive committee as regional vice president.
Binder formed Creative Travel Consultants in 1970 and his experience includes more than 40 years of active involvement in the tourism industry. He has held senior sales, marketing and management positions in both large and small organizations operating within the Caribbean, Bahamas, United States and other international destinations. Binder has been contracted by the private and public sectors to assist in the evaluation, development, implementation and managing of resort development, sales, marketing, reservations and communications programs for hotels, resort properties, destinations, tourist boards, airlines and tour operators.
Throughout his career, Binder has played a key role in the Caribbean tourism industry. He has been actively involved with CHTA over the past 25 years and presently serves as an allied director, member of the Executive and Marketing Committees and, for the past six years, chairman of the Caribbean Travel Marketplace Committee. In this role he worked in conjunction with the leaders of both CTO and CHTA in the creation and launch of CTDC. Currently, he serves as a director for CTDC.
Binder was intimately involved in the design, development, and implementation of the sales and marketing program, including budgeting, staffing and supervision, of the Comfort Suites Paradise Island, a successful and profitable small Caribbean hotel.
