CIRCA Scientific Announces Agreement with MAGNET Group for Company's Esophageal Temperature Monitoring System
ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Sept. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CIRCA Scientific, a leader in advanced esophageal temperature monitoring with the S-CATH™ Esophageal Monitoring System, announced today that it has reached a three-year agreement with MAGNET Group, the Mid-Atlantic Group Network of Shared Services. MAGNET Group is one of largest and most experienced non-profit cooperative group purchasing and shared services organizations in the United States. The agreement, which was effective on July 1, 2015, allows MAGNET Group's participating healthcare facilities to begin purchasing CIRCA's S-CATH Esophageal Temperature Probe.
CIRCA Scientific was selected by MAGNET Group as a result of its leadership position in advance temperature monitoring, which plays a key role in complex Cardiac Ablation procedures. The company's S-CATH Hot & Cold Esophageal Temperature Monitoring System enhances esophageal temperature monitoring with multi-point temperature sensing. The system has 12 fast-response temperature sensors on a soft, flexible, self-expanding probe, which conforms to the shape of the esophagus, and provides maximum esophageal coverage. Studies have demonstrated that the S-CATH provides temperature information more quickly than conventional temperature probes.
