FULTON, Md., March 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Circonus, Inc., creators of the Circonus real-time monitoring and analytics platform, today announced their first round of venture capital financing with NewSpring Capital, via the Firm's dedicated growth and expansion fund, NewSpring Growth Capital.

Seeking investors represents accelerated growth for Circonus, which had been entirely self/customer-funded since its inception in 2010. This influx of capital coincides with rapid expansion from Circonus, with recent hirings doubling its development and support departments. It built an expert team with combined decades of technical experience.

As it expands, the company continues to innovate, regularly rolling out features that broaden its flexible collection, visualization, and alerting tools, leveraging sophisticated statistical analysis. Chief Data Scientist, Heinrich Hartmann, recently introduced advanced analytics functionality using histograms for capacity planning, service-level monitoring, and anomaly detection. His team then enhanced the flexibility of these features, developing a custom query language. Additional capabilities are scheduled for the coming months.
