Cirrus Aircraft to update EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2014 with the very latest on the Vision SF50 Personal Jet, Generation 5 SR-series and multiple recent product and service developments
DULUTH, Minn., July 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cirrus Aircraft executives will update EAA AirVenture Oshkosh media and attendees with the latest information on the Vision SF50 personal jet program, a 2015 Special Edition aircraft, and other recent developments at a news conference Monday, July 28, at 11:30 a.m. at the Cirrus Aircraft display #183.
Highlights of the press conference will include:
Vision SF50 Personal Jet: Cirrus will review the first flight and significance of aircraft 'C-Zero' (C0) and the projected flight test schedule of additional test aircraft for the remainder of the year. C0 is the first of three conforming flight test aircraft for the Vision SF50 program.
The Vision SF50 is designed to be a straightforward transition for pilots of high-performance aircraft, such as the Cirrus SR22T. It features a high-end cruise speed of 300 KTAS, advanced avionics, the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS™) and an all-carbon fiber structure. A list price of $1.96 million has seating for up to five adults and two smaller passengers in an expansive cabin.
2015 SR22T Special Edition 'Accelero': Cirrus will preview the launch of the first all-digital aircraft in the SR-Series, 2015 Special Edition SR22T, 'Accelero.' Meaning to accelerate or advance, the Accelero was inspired by innovations made in the Vision SF50 Jet program.
Cirrus Perception™: Cirrus Aircraft is introducing a new "sensor-capable," reconfigurable special mission and observation aircraft based on its SR22/SR22T aircraft. Cirrus' special mission platform Cirrus Perception will be available in mid-2015.
Cirrus Direct™: Earlier this month, Cirrus Aircraft announced Cirrus Direct, its new parts and aftermarket service that will enhance Cirrus customers' ownership and operating experience. Cirrus Direct™ replaced Cirrus Parts by API on July 14, 2014.
Cirrus Approach™: Cirrus will share the latest flight safety data and program information, illustrating notable improvement related to its industry-first approach to flight training in Cirrus aircraft.
Team Goulian and the 2014 Red Bull Air Race World Championships: Cirrus Aircraft is providing 2014 support for Team Goulian, the Red Bull Air Race Championship team led by acclaimed air racer and aerobatic pilot, Michael Goulian. The sponsorship builds on the existing partnership between Cirrus Aircraft and Goulian and renews Cirrus' involvement with the Red Bull Air Race.
