Citizen Watch Company to Honor Brand Ambassador Matt Kenseth At Charlotte Motor Speedway Event
CONCORD, N.C., Oct. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Citizen Watch Company of America, Inc. (COA) will host an event at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina to honor Brand Ambassador and two-time Daytona 500® Champion Matt Kenseth. The event will kick off the launch of the new Citizen Eco-Drive Limited Edition Matt Kenseth Primo watch, and will be held on Wednesday, October 9th, before the Bank of America 500® race at Charlotte Motor Speedway that coming weekend.
The event will take place at the Charlotte Motor Speedway from 4:00 PM -7:00 PM. The event will start with Citizen Watch Company making a donation with Matt to benefit the UW Foundation-Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center. Doctor Sanjay Asthana, MD and Director at the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center will be on hand to receive the check. Dr. Asthana states, "We are making substantial progress in diagnosing Alzheimer's disease through early testing. This gift will help us continue to look for novel ways to predict Alzheimer's disease. More importantly, it will help us in our efforts to find interventions that will work to either postpone or prevent the onset of the disease. Anyone whose life has been touched by this devastating illness knows—the ability to influence the onset and progression of Alzheimer's would be priceless."
CITIZEN will then be hosting a private reception afterwards at 5:00 PM, everyone who has purchased one of the Citizen Eco-Drive Matt Kenseth Limited Edition Primo watches will be invited to meet Matt and have him personally sign their watch box. To complete the evening, Matt will greet fans from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. This will be open to 200 members of the public. Individuals can come and meet Matt and receive an autographed photo.
