City of North Richland Hills Extends H2U Health Center Benefits to Dependents
Employees and dependents of city now have access to more healthcare services
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas, Sept. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Effective October 1, the H2U Health Center at North Hills Hospital will begin offering primary care services to about 700 dependents of employees of the City of North Richland Hills. Health to You (H2U) has been providing clinic services to approximately 500 city employees since July 2014.
"The H2U Health Center has surpassed all of our expectations," said Patrick Hillis, Human Resources Director for the City of North Richland Hills. In the first year, 60 percent of city employees used the H2U Health Center, which is located on the campus of North Hills Hospital and shared with hospital employees, as well as other employers in the vicinity.
"Based on utilization and satisfaction of our employees, we quickly realized we needed to extend this valuable service to the families of our employees," Hillis said. "This is just one more way we're helping our employees and their families stay healthy while keeping our healthcare costs in balance."
The H2U Health Center provides convenient, affordable healthcare services near the workplace, including walk-in and same-day appointments. Access to these clinics helps minimize time away from work or school and helps employers reduce absenteeism, increase productivity and control costs. Employees and their families also can obtain a variety of wellness resources and the services of a clinical team to coordinate care between other providers and their health plan.
"Our care coordination team provides a seamless and effective patient-centric experience," said Susan McGory, Senior Vice President of Operations for Nashville-based H2U. "We serve as a hub of support for patients and a critical link for those with chronic conditions who often require multiple medical access points. Our goal is to provide needed services, help individuals navigate the health system, and ensure appropriate in-network referrals and resources when necessary."
H2U is a national provider of primary healthcare services for employer groups, with 41 health centers located on or near employer worksites across the country. The centers are staffed by nurse practitioners and physician assistants who use an integrated team approach.
