WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Nov. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Citysearch, a CityGrid Media company, today announced Kimberly Salzer has been named Vice President and General Manager for the local online guide. In her new role, Salzer will be responsible for overseeing the popular website's products and marketing strategy and report into Kara Nortman, SVP, Publishing for CityGrid Media.  Most recently, Salzer served as the Head of Marketing and Product for Linden Lab's Second Life, the largest 3D virtual world, where she was responsible for leading efforts around new product development, revenue streams, community management and marketing.

Prior to joining Citysearch and Linden Lab, Salzer spent five years in various roles for Activision Blizzard including Vice President of Global Brand Management for the Guitar Hero franchise, Vice President of Global Brand Management on Family Entertainment (managing global DreamWorks, Hasbro and Fox games businesses), and Director of Global Brand Management on Call of Duty. Salzer has also held leadership positions at Electronic Arts and The Clorox Company. Salzer has an MBA in Marketing from The Anderson Graduate School of Management, UCLA and a BA, Communications & Business from UCLA.
