Clapp Communications Adds United Fidelity Investments, a Maryland-based Real Estate Investment Firm, to its Client Roster
BALTIMORE, Jan. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Baltimore-based, award-winning marketing and public relations firm Clapp Communications is pleased to announce the addition of United Fidelity Investments (UFI) to its growing list of clients.
Clapp Communications will provide branding and graphic design services and manage public relations for the real estate investment firm headquartered in Owings Mills, Md. UFI was founded in 2012 by commercial real estate veterans Michael P. Meisel, principal of Meisel Capital Partners, and William S. Berman, Licensed Real Estate Broker and Certified Shopping Center Manager.
UFI acquires, develops, and manages a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. The firm's capabilities include brokerage/leasing, debt placement, development/redevelopment and asset management.
Meisel and Berman have more than 50 years of combined experience in the commercial real estate field. Together, they have negotiated, leased and managed more than 5,000,000 square feet of commercial real estate. Their experience includes hundreds of transactions in a wide variety of industries, including retail, commercial, industrial, office and municipal, with regional and national tenants such as Giant Food, Food Lion, Dunkin Donuts, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Advanced Auto, TD Securities and Scott Trade.

Meisel currently owns and manages commercial and industrial properties in the Baltimore Metropolitan area, Washington, D.C. and Florida. In addition to his commercial real estate experience, he has an impressive background in the Maryland banking industry as a founding member of Maryland Financial Bank and Capital Bank N.A. and a majority shareholder for Maryland Permanent Bank, where he served as Chairman & CEO.
Berman is currently a partner in various real estate ventures, and he specializes in overseeing job/construction costs, the permit and zoning process, and project value engineering. He has managed more than 2,000,000 square feet of retail shopping centers, office buildings and flex/warehouse space in the Baltimore Metropolitan area. He has served on the ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) Finance Committee and was recognized by the Baltimore Business Journal as a "Heavy Hitter" in the commercial real estate brokerage industry.
Both men are members of the Board of Trustees of Jemicy School in Owings Mills, where Meisel is Board Chair and Berman is Building and Grounds Chair.
