Clear Channel Outdoor's Digital Signs Aid FBI in Capture of Fugitive
PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced that fugitive Antoine Brooks has been captured in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Brooks was wanted for drug distribution, and was the target of an FBI Wanted campaign in the Philadelphia area since January 11. The fugitive turned himself in yesterday morning at a local Philadelphia police station.
The FBI search utilized 23 digital billboards from Clear Channel Outdoor. Mr. Brooks is the 51st fugitive caught by the FBI in the U.S. with the help of digital billboards.
"We are pleased to take another dangerous criminal off the street, and in this case, the public campaign using digital billboards had a direct impact on the fugitive turning himself in," said Special Agent J.J. Klaver, from the FBI Office in Philadelphia. "We want to thank our partners at Clear Channel Outdoor and others in the Philadelphia community for making our community safer today."
