ClearSign To Present At The Energy Solutions Center Technology and Market Assessment Forum February 11 - 13, 2014
ATLANTA, Feb. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ClearSign Combustion Corporation (NASDAQ: CLIR), an emerging leader in combustion and emissions control technology for industrial, commercial and utility markets, announced today that Chief Technology Officer Joe Colannino will be a featured presenter at the Energy Solutions Center Technology and Market Assessment Forum, February 11 - 13, 2014 at the Grand Hyatt in Atlanta, GA.
According to the Energy Solutions Center, the Technology and Market Assessment Forums "are a highly sought-after opportunity for equipment manufacturers and vendors of new gas equipment and related systems to educate North American utilities about new gas solutions and to propose innovative marketing partnerships."
Mr. Colannino's paper, "Reinventing Fire" will be presented tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12th at 9:20 AM in the Grand Ballroom 2 meeting room.
"I am excited to share some of our latest results tomorrow," Colannino said. "In our ongoing tests, the Duplex Burner Architecture is proving to be a powerful approach to reducing NOx to unprecedented levels, without elevating CO, and while maintaining customary or lower levels of O2 in the stack. Additionally, flame length is dramatically reduced -- by 90% or more -- compared to existing Low-NOx burners. ClearSign's Duplex technology appears to eliminate the tradeoffs inherent in traditional NOx abatement approaches -- tradeoffs I and other combustion engineers have had to manage throughout our professional careers."
Prior to joining ClearSign, Joe Colannino was the head of global R&D at John Zink Company, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Koch Industries and a worldwide leader in the supply of combustion and air pollution control equipment to the energy industry. There, his responsibilities included management of intellectual property, oversight of John Zink's testing facility and of the John Zink Institute, which trains more than 1,000 students per year in various aspects of combustion. Joe is a registered professional engineer with more than 25 years experience in the combustion industry and has written and reviewed problems appearing on the NCEES professional engineering exam, given in all 50 states for professional engineering licensure. Joe's areas of expertise include R&D management, combustion, pollutant formation and control, and statistical experimental design. Past and present memberships include the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the American Chemical Society, the Air and Waste Management Association, the American Statistical Association and the National Association of Professional Engineers.
