Clipper Group (USA) moves into new office space on Long Ridge Road, Stamford, CT
STAMFORD, Conn., March 5, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Jones Lang LaSalle has completed a sublease deal on 5,852 square feet for Gen Re Long Ridge LLC at 120 Long Ridge Road in Stamford, Conn. International shipping company Clipper Group (USA) Inc. moved its US operations from Stamford Landing to the Class A office building at 120 Long Ridge Road, where they recently took occupation on the third floor of the north wing.
Clipper Group is a leading international shipping company, and an industry leader in dry bulk. Clipper's core strategic business: Clipper Bulk (dry cargo) operates a large fleet of handysize through panamax vessels as well as a number of subsidiary businesses, including Clipper Steel Services, the largest dedicated steel parcel carrier. In addition to the core business, Clipper has investments in tankers, MPP, ro-ro, ferries and cruise, as well as non-maritime investments. Clipper Group operates about 200 vessels in total, of which approximately half are owned. The company has approximately 300 employees working in 11 countries around the world.
JLL represented both the landlord, Gen Re Long Ridge LLC, and the tenant in the transaction.
