The goal of the Cloud Computing Case Study Competition is to highlight business success stories and lessons learned to provide proof points and insights for other organizations considering or pursuing cloud computing adoption. "We are very pleased to be collaborating with the CSCC and OMG on this important Case Study Competition," said Celia Wolf, CEO and Publisher of BPTrends, "and we look forward to publishing the winners."
"We know cloud computing is being used, and there are nascent standards and definitions, but how does one mitigate the risks of the transition? The competition is seeking real case studies that we can learn from, on how to avoid problems, and help to guarantee success of those companies that are still considering the move to cloud computing," said Richard Mark Soley, Ph.D., chairman and CEO, OMG.
To qualify for the contest, the cloud project must be complete with demonstrated business results. All types of cloud projects are eligible for the competition, including public, private and hybrid.
Entries will be judged on the complexity of the business problem addressed, the ROI/Business Value achieved (Agility/Innovation/Flexibility), the level and sophistication of the cross-organizational collaboration (Business/Technical), the usage of cloud approaches and supporting technology and lessons learned. In addition to one overall winner, organizations will be recognized by industry/government.
