The company manages translation and linguistic validation projects for the world's top pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies, including translation, PRO Instrument validation, and multilingual desktop publishing.
In 2011, Corporate Translations was seeking to establish a UK-base to service its European clients. The business looked at a series of options for a UK office, eventually deciding on BioCity in Nottingham due to its central location, ease of international travel and clustering approach to aid its tenants' growth.
"We were looking for flexibility in terms of room to grow and a location that would enable us to tap into wider resources. BioCity offered that synergy," explains Benjamin Rainforth, General Manager (UK) of Corporate Translations.
"We've grown here from a one-man "pod" into a 3-person office and now we are expanding again as we take on more staff. We have 4 here now within the office but are in the process of hiring a fifth in a client services role. Flexible space and being surrounded by like-minded companies within BioCity has been a major asset to us."
Corporate Translations (headquartered in East Hartford, CT with additional offices in Chicago, Japan, and Turkey) has produced well over 100,000 distinct projects worldwide. Since establishing its UK office within BioCity (Nottingham), it has seen sales from the UK office grow from an initial $1.5million in year 1 to a projected $7.1 million by the end of its third year.
Every office at Corporate Translations is required to obtain ISO9001:2008 Certification of its Quality Management System and the UK office has recently achieved that status. "Translating life science documents is a highly rigorous process as we are dealing with critical, highly technical documents. Zero defect translations are the clients' expectation and requirement," Benjamin Rainforth concludes.
Corporate Translations has an international reputation for providing the highest level of quality. The Company is a preferred supplier for most major biopharmaceutical companies and their CRO's (Clinical Research Organizations).
With an obsession for quality throughout the company, Corporate Translations is growing internationally at a fantastic pace and the UK office, based at BioCity, is playing a major role in that growth.
