Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED, Inc. and Pack Health Announce Early Results of Digital Health Coaching for Employees

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Feb. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED, Inc. and Pack Health, a health coaching company based in Birmingham, AL, today announced results from a joint initiative to improve the health of employees with chronic conditions.

As a pilot project, Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED, Inc. offered Pack Health's condition-specific health coaching programs for weight management, type 2 diabetes, diabetes prevention, dyslipidemia, inflammatory bowel disease, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer to 200 employees last August. Those 200 spots were filled in just 2 days.

The two companies have since expanded the initiative and have seen promising results. Participants have improved medication adherence by 9%, health literacy by 34%, and lost ten pounds on average in their first three months.
