We are committed to changing the makeup of the technology industry and software engineering as at least 80% of recipients will be drawn from communities underrepresented in technology. We are also announcing today a Scholarship Fund Board who will serve to evaluate scholarship applicants. The Board is comprised of influential figures from a diverse range of backgrounds making a major impact in the technology space.
Chike Aguh - CEO of EveryoneOn, a national nonprofit dedicated to closing the digital divide and, to date, that has connected over 400,000 low-income Americans in 48 states to the Internet and the opportunity it brings.
