ORLANDO, Fla., April 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Acomb Ostendorf & Associates are pleased to announce that Colonel Kevin P. Mastin has joined our team as Director of New Business Development. AO&A Co-Founder Tom Acomb, describes his thoughts on Kevin's new role with the company, "Kevin was a natural fit with AO&A as we create our own category in the themed entertainment sector. His bandwidth has no limit and paired with his legendary drive to succeed, Kevin will energize our senior team and inspire our college grads. AO&A's plans are as wide and blue as the skies Kevin once flew."
Colonel Kevin P. Mastin retired from the Air Force in September 2014 as Vice Commander, 1st Fighter Wing, Joint Base in Langley-Eustis, Virginia. Col. Mastin was responsible for a Wing composed of two groups and six squadrons, including two F-22 fighter squadrons and a T-38A aggressor detachment. As Vice Commander, Kevin ensured the Wing was ready to mobilize and deploy anywhere in the world where they would gain and maintain air superiority. Kevin has extensive experience with team building, strategic planning, interagency coordination, diplomacy, and contingency operations.
Kevin has commented about the exciting new opportunity, "After a 30-year career in the Air Force I knew I wanted to do something completely different while still having the opportunity to have a positive impact on people's lives. I came to AO&A because the AO&A team does this everyday by creating amazing experiences that impact lives by putting smiles on people's faces. While the themed entertainment industry is definitely different than flying fighters in the Air Force, being a member of the AO&A family makes 'doing something different' even more rewarding...and I love every bit of it."
Colonel Mastin is a 1988 graduate of Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and his commission in the Air Force through the University's Reserve Officer Training Corps Program. He completed undergraduate pilot training in 1989. He is now a command pilot with more than 4,100 flight hours in the T-37,ry T-38, AT-38, F-15 and F-16. Kevin also completed a full tour of duty with the USAF Thunderbird Squadron as the Opposing Solo, and Lead Solo from 1999-2002. Prior to his retirement from the Air Force, Kevin was the Professor of Aerospace Studies at the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington.
